In The Contraband, teams step into the shoes of anonymous syndicates competing in an exclusive underground auction where every decision carries weight. With limited capital and a room full of iconic, instantly recognisable assets, participants must build a portfolio that balances ambition with strategy.
The event opens with a Black Market Trivia Blitz that cuts the field from 16 teams to 8, before the qualifying syndicates enter a live, paddle-raised Shadow Auction over 20 assets — each introduced with a dramatic backstory by the shadow broker. Then comes The Raid: an unannounced enforcement round where chits determine which assets get confiscated, with riskier assets far more likely to be seized.
There is no protection and no safety net in the final round — only how wisely a team managed risk. In the end, success comes down to one thing: who can build the smartest portfolio.
